This sculpture is by LEONARDO DA VINCI because all these paintings and drawings can be seen in and on the sculpture in natural form of wood grains , which is a miracle and all these artworks are by leonardo da vinci hence it is phenomenally rare arwork!
As i am seeing this sculpture it is alive with locomotion and while i was restoring the sculpture i could understand this sculpture cannot be made by an ordinary artist, because only a maestro can work and turn a log of wood into this, which needs meticulous planning.
apart from all correlating evidences with other artworks of the master
1. It is clear that leonardo da vinci made some wooden sculptures (which are lost in time) and among them is a sculpture map of elephanta which is in INDIA, there is a sculpture of elephant in Mumbai from elephanta caves, which is thought to be "map of elephanta" but our sculpture is more evident form of MAP OF ELEPHANT as the name suggests, map to his artworks
2. The medium of the sculpture is Huanghuali wood which itself is rare, auspicious and was precious even in 15th centuary. This size of huanghuali wood was only available in the time period of 14th , 15th and 16th centuries. the tree from which this wood is extracted can grow and live only in a small forest on an
island in Hainan province in China(and nowhere else in the world).
This species of trees were exploited for its wood in Qing and Ming dynasty periods.Huanghuali wood is auspicious and celebrated wood for connoisseurs. It is a very slow growing tree. To obtain a 4inches section of this wood the tree should live for about 200 years and for the size of this sculpture a tree should live for more than 1000 years.
3. Art historian Mr. Martin kemp says leonardo da vinci artworks needs to be seen with fresh look , and the master had a tendency to paint by picking an idea from a sculpture. Which is evident in the painting of Ginevra de benci , the idea was from sculpture of Dama Dal Mazzolino by Verrocchio 1475.
4. More than 25 evidences cannot be a co-incidence as they are all natural.
these evidences are more strong than scientifically proving paintings with pigment matches , comparing with other artworks of the artist, with x-ray images and so on.
